As a WordPress developer, I built custom WordPress sites using PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript. I utilized Advanced Custom Fields and Gutenberg Blocks. I would also create sites using the Classic Editor in WordPress. Other duties included maintaining and updating dozens of sites for customers to ensure security of WordPress updates.
HLK, WordPress Developer – 6/19-2/20
As a WordPress developer, I helped build out new websites and branding initiatives for a global hotel chain. I utilized WordPress core paired with an agnostic javascript component system to build modules that the end user can place into a page with various layout options. I also helped maintain and improve 15 other brands of the global hotel chain that were built in WordPress from another company where we inherited their code.

As a front-end developer, I worked on various projects using HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL. I worked in Laravel, WordPress, Site Finity, Salesforce and Squarespace, My main focus was on responsive front end development in all of those platforms and content management systems. I used NodeJS to import and manage modules for front and back end development. These modules varied from managing Gulp dependencies, to Laravel modules and also helped out with deploying to various servers outside of my local machine environment. I took up the task of email development in various marketing platforms.

As a front-end focused developer I worked on ad driven websites that promoted viral content. The websites and code I created had to be fast and responsive. Some areas I worked in were HTML, CSS, jQuery, SASS, PHP(primarily Laravel). I helped with the rebrand of the company by creating their newly branded website. I was then moved to a team titled “Upbolt”. This was an application that aggregated viral and content driven articles across multiple sites. The product worked with outside content publishers to drive traffic to their website via Facebook, website ads, and various organic methods.

Created and maintained dozens of websites for both internal and external use. Launched the first responsive website and helped lead the initiative to create Drupal and WordPress sites to decrease time on the development cycle. Other systems I worked in were Sharepoint 2007 and Sharepoint 2013. Worked hand in hand with the DigitalCommunications team to push design standards forward into the mutli-device responsive era.

Content Developer utilizing HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery to fulfill client requests across dozens of Sharepoint intranet and internet sites. Created HTML/CSS mockups that are compliant in broad spectrum of web browsers. Browsers ranged from Internet Explorer 7 and up to Firefox and Google Chrome.

My main focus was front end development utilizing HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and PHP/MySQL. I worked within several frameworks for front end development including Bootstrap and HTML5 Boilerplate. Utilized Git version control on multiple projects for larger team efforts. I also performed intermediate backend development that mainly dealt with WordPress functionality.

Establishing web identities for local and national companies using Drupal. My duties included receiving Photoshop files from a graphic designer and slicing them apart and creating a Drupal theme from scratch. This included coding the whole front end of the site as well as content integration and back end development if necessary. Experience migrating sites from Linux test server to various hosting packages. This included using Linux command line, cPanel, various other hosting package interfaces, phpMyAdmin, and modifying htaccess files. Technologies utilized include HTML, CSS, PHP, mySQL, jQuery. Other non-coding duties included meeting with clients for training and specification meetings, training new employees on Drupal, project management, and setting realistic timelines for the client. Outside Drupal, I created HTML/CSS templates for PHP applications, created and administered Microsoft Sharepoint sites, and created HTML e-mail templates.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist I was the last line of review before a customer was able to view their site. I checked for browser compatibility, standards within design process, and spell checking. Another aspect was making sure customer suggested modifications were implemented correctly. Pay Per Click campaigns were also examined and ran through checklists to assure proper setup/techniques were used to insure profitability for company and for client. Part of a two man team that established and maintained standards, protocols, and grading scales for products created at Network Solutions.

I implemented custom HTML and CSS into pre-built templates to customize template to meet customer requirements. Handled multiple projects at one time and met deadlines consistently. I was transitioned into Modification Specialist role. I would perform modification on pre-built template web sites, custom HTML and CSS sites, Joomla! Web sites, and E-Commerce stores.
